This morning, two naval vessels carrying cargo for the invasion of New Guinea were destroyed in a daring and successful mission. Our brave airmen men risked their lives to strike a blow against the Japanese war machine, and we are proud to report that their mission was a success. This victory is a significant setback for the Japanese, and we hope that it will slow down their blitz across the Pacific. Our brave fighters are doing everything they can to protect our country and its allies, and their sacrifices are not in vain. We would like to extend our congratulations to the 43rd and 8th fighter squadrons, who completed their mission with great skill and bravery. They killed four enemy fighters without losing a single aircraft. Their success is a testament to the strength and determination of the American fighting spirit.
